GIVEAWAY... One year birthday!!!


I have been anticipating this post for some time and I'm so thrilled that today is here! 
Happy FIRST birthday to my little shop!  Has it really been a year already?!

 I wasn't quite sure what I was doing starting out, or if anyone would even buy anything, but this time last year I opened the doors to CinnamonInk.  I had never put my artwork out there and it was a different taste of vulnerable.  But I was encouraged by a few wonderful people in my life and I felt bold.  If I'm honest, it gets me a little emotional to think of how far it's all come in this year! 

I am so GRATEFUL for that push... My husband telling me to do it, just try it, and for taking on packing duty and late night sugar runs.  My sister for buying the very first print (my Fly Away girl pictured above) and for being my number one design consultant, web extraordinaire, photographer... The phone calls from my parents and in-laws, "another sale!" "love your new print!" My family and friends calls and comments about the shop and my art... Seriously I am SO grateful for all of your support.  It has meant everything to me this past year!  You guys rock... I'm a lucky lady!

There were definitely times when I've felt overwhelmed, but more often I've felt so overjoyed about my little business.  My first art fair last fall I was just starting out and terrified I wouldn't sell a thing!  I kept meandering by to try to overhear what people were saying around my booth. :)  I came home with a huge chunk of my inventory gone and all kinds of happy.

The best part of it all is knowing that my art is now hanging in hundreds of homes around the world.  I hope it's making your nurseries, playrooms and wherever else just a little brighter.  EVERY time someone purchases a print I feel that surge of excitement and gratitude!

    Kate, I LOVE the print you gave me for Chase's nursery- absolutely love it! I would buy more if we actually lived in the US and could get them! (And I will buy more when we do move back- for sure!) You are so talented! LOVE YOU!
