I used to have a hard time with abstract art because for some reason I associated it with stuffy people in purple turtlenecks, smoking cigarettes and talking down to the world, and I never think art should be stuffy so I avoided it. Over the past couple of years my ideas on it have shifted dramatically though and I LOVE a great abstract piece- emphasis on the word great. I keep seeing these abstract paintings from Katherine Sandoz floating around the blogosphere lately and love, love, love her abstract works! They are absolutely breathtaking, and apparently she is having a major sale so check it out, what's not to love!
