Back to the days of Christopher Robin.

Growing up my mom would read to me from our big Winnie-the-Pooh book. I would open my eyes just long enough to take in the image from the page, then I would close them again and let Christopher Robin and Pooh Bear dance across my eyelids. The simplicity and expression of these drawings inspires me today. I love Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore, but there is something about that Christopher Robin that I just absolutely LOVE. He is innocence and wonder captured so perfectly in one little boy.
A few summers back I spent several months studying art and the humanities in London. One warm Saturday I was strolling through Portobello Market when I found these wonderful black and white early Winnie-the-Pooh prints. Of course I bought them right up for my children's rooms someday.
What a classic. Who doesn't love Winnie-the-Pooh and Christopher Robin?! And now I'm off to the hospital to meet another little guy- my new nephew! My sister is THE woman today! Happy day!

Kate

Update:  I found these images years ago on an online search and never saved sources.  If you know a source please let me know!  Thanks!
